A beautiful selection of New Age harp music by
Cheryl Gallagher especially created for relaxation,
enjoyment, and stress relief during pregnancy,
child-birth, lactation, and as an aid in parenting
and child development. Pregnant Pause is an excellent
childrens' product, a perfect baby gift, and an
excellent calming influence for both mothers and
children during high-stress times such as car
rides, bed time, and the pre-dinner blues.
The bond between parents and children is very
close, deep and strong. Yet, the time to celebrate
childhood is very short. It can also be very stressful
at times, as wonderful and as much as we enjoy
our children.
Pregnant Pause was created to enhance the peaceful
and relieve the stressful times of childrearing.
The music is beautiful, complex and diverse, with
attention to excellent composition, production
and sound to please both parents and children
over and over again.
Beautifully arranged classical pieces such as
'Lauda Ad Sancta Maddalena' and 'Greensleeves
(for four harps)' are interspersed with original
favorites, 'Quiet Time' and 'Water Babies'. The
rich lush sound of the concert harp blends together
a variety of genres from the modern jazz piece
'Harp Groove' to the lively 'Tortola Sunrise'.
A unique and highly creative arrangement of Brahms'
Lullaby finishes the CD,

Cheryl
was born and raised in upstate New York, near the
Catskill Mountains. She lived in a small, quiet, city,
surrounded by beautiful forested country, with lots
of time for creative thinking and dreaming.
Cheryl has formed her own record company, Gracie G
Records, based in Austin, Texas.
"I coordinate my schedule to maximize the rhythm
and stability of the children's homelife and routine.
That said, they still travel on tour with mommy over
the summer and can give you a comparative analysis
of most of America's beaches. They've been asked,
"Where's your mother now?" and have accurately
given the response, "I think she's in Kathmandu
today," Cheryl laughs,"They know I'll be
back soon, in full mother mode, making dinner, helping
with homework, and music practice, with plenty of
love and kisses to go around."
Cheryl finished her interview with these thoughts.
"It's important to demonstrate the traits I'd
like my children to have. I think it's important that
they've watched me learn and grow and discipline myself
to continue forward with determination, even in the
face of the daunting frustrations and problems of
creating art in a world of commerce. I continue to
be a person with goals and hopes and dreams, while
providing my children with a loving and supportive
homelife, rich with diverse experiences. They watch
me take on challenges, and achieve, while being openminded,
innovative and adaptive to changing circumstances.
These are all excellent attributes that I hope my
children absorb."
